What if we extended the concept of art to all disciplines that required a strong understanding of the creator's environment with enough daring to disrupt it ?
For this short trip to Berlin, after a week full of fashion my obsession was to catch art everywhere and in all forms.
My passion for Internet technologies brought me to the Michel Berger hotel hosting a press conference introducing the German startup MYBESTBRANDS.
The founders of the company wanted to come up with a fashion shopping engine that organizes the offer of multiple e-commerce sites and deliver it through a web version and a mobile app. It's the mobile app that really caught my attention: fast and slick, I was already immersed in the features and the filters, looking for some nice HBA printed sweatshirt.
This was art.
The next step of my pilgrimage was the Johann König gallery which represents young artists in many disciplines and media including sculpture, video, sound, painting, photography and performance.
The gallery host Gregor was presenting so passionately each artwork with his German accent.
As you can see, the luminescent fabric on his sneakers were reflecting the light of my flash, in a way they were saying: we are also art.
My quest continued outside of the gallery where I was fascinated by cars and architecture.
This building is the concept mall Bikini Berlin.
What happened after that, well, some people will tell you it doesn't really matter, that is was, somehow, a form of art that requires a strong sense of mystery and give the reader the privilege to idealize it her way.
What is for sure is that it ended up at the Berlin train station.
And again, art was everywhere, even in this iconic all-metal elevator that lead to my platform and where I took this (street) art selfie.
